Call Notes | May 28: You Don’t Need a Suit to Be Seen

The Unexpected Magic of a 45-Minute Call with Women You've Never Met

What actually happens when you put six women on a 45-minute Zoom call, most of whom don’t know each other?

Honestly, something kind of magical.

No one showed up with a rehearsed elevator pitch. No one asked, “So, what do you do?” five seconds in. That’s not really how things flow around here.

Instead, women showed up as they were. Messy buns, baby toys in the background, maybe sipping coffee from a mug that’s been reheated three times. And somehow, that’s what made it all feel… real.

We laughed, we listened, we shared things that had nothing to do with our resumes. Someone mentioned how refreshing it is to be around normal people, what a luxury these days, right?

No pressure to perform.
No comparison games.
Just women being human.

Brielle shared that she’s still close with a few women she met years ago through this community. The kind of friendships that stick, not because they were forced, but because they were formed in spaces like this one, where authenticity isn’t just welcomed, it’s the norm.

We talked about coaching, and how powerful it can be when you find the right coach, the kind who doesn’t just hand you a roadmap but walks it with you. We celebrated how good it feels to be around women who aren’t trying to one-up each other. The energy is different when no one’s keeping score.

One of the ladies said she wanted to stay in this orbit because “this group is full of super connectors.”

She’s right.

It’s not about how many people you know, but the depth of the connections you make.

And let’s be honest, most traditional networking events feel like a stress test. The dreaded 15-second intro. The internal panic of “Am I saying the right thing?” Here, it’s different. It’s not about your title. It’s about your truth.

Here’s the best part:
You don’t have to wear a suit to be seen.
(Though if you love a good blazer moment, we’ll hype you up for that too.)

Some of the women met in a mastermind a while back, and while the programs were fine, they agreed that the best thing that came out of it was each other.

That’s what these calls feel like: a space where women don’t need to dress up, don’t need to prove anything, and definitely don’t need to have it all figured out.

We show up.
We share.
We support.

And somehow, in just 45 minutes, we walk away a little lighter, a little more connected, and a lot more inspired.

If this resonates with you, we’d love to have you on the next call.
Pull up a seat, bring your coffee (messy bun optional), and join the conversation.
